For English, I need to pick a sobriquet for myself, and then write the story about how I got it.
(A sobriquet is a nickname based on personal characteristics)
My problem is, I can't come up with a nickname.
Help!

You guys have such cute nicknames!
Mine and the story behind them:
Cheesecake: At the time, my friend Becki was just giving out random nicknames to peope based on nothing at all. ("Ian, from now on, your nickname is.... chalk!") she named me 'Cheese'. I hated it. I was afraid I'd be called 'Cheese' for the rest of my life. So, I compromised.
"How about Cheese-*cake*?" I suggested. And it stuck! So for about four years now, my name has been Cheesecake.
Mahna Mahna: I don't really know how I came up with it. I just like that song a lot; I find it really funny, so I started using it to sign fanfiction.net reviews.
And this last one is my English paper:
A long time ago, I sat next to a fellow clarinetist, Monique, in the crowded band room. Everything was going well, until Monique let out a short cry. “My reed! I broke it!” she whined. She cursed under her breath. “And I don’t have any extra money to buy one from the teacher.” My eyes traveled to my clarinet case that held a whole package of number three reeds. I had been warned before that if I gave such things to people I would probably never be compensated, but the look on Monique’s face was too much to bear. “Here,” I said, opening the case and taking out a reed. “Take one. I have a bunch.” Taking the reed from me, she grinned wildly. “Thank you!” she said over and over again. That day, I was given a nickname that I would carry for years after. Bowing as she spoke, she called me Mistress of the Reeds because she felt I had done something noble, and therefore deserved the noble name of ‘mistress’.
**************** I'm sure I'm retelling that story completely wrong, but my teacher said that it didn't have to be a true story anyway.

Hee hee. My friend Bailey plays the Clarinet. She hates it. :-p
My AOL Screen name was Mad bubble gum for a while. That's what some of my friends called me to tick me off.

Hee hee. My friend Bailey plays the Clarinet. She hates it. :-p My friend Luarina is the same way. She hates her 'stupid band majigger'. She plays guitar though, and she loves it. She's pretty good too.

Nicknames, nicknames...Nope, only you all give them to me.
Except Scarl* and Insane*.
With you all there's Scar, Scarl, Scarli, Muffin Lass (and various alter-egos stemming from that), Muffin, Scarlet tt, Milady, and I do believe that's it.
Not to many things can be squished out of "Sc arlett"
*Usage restricted, as I have trained most of my RL friends to call me by my full name.
:DWhee!
